EU and Japan agree on a free trade deal

European Union and Japan on 6th of July agreed to a free trade pact. The deal was finalised by signing political agreement. Although there are certain issues that are being left for future negotiations, still the main consensus was reached this week.

The negotiations for what will be known as EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement began in 2012.

According to Japanese Prime Minister two jurisdictions can form the world’s biggest open economic area.
